Today, Hailey had a talk on baptism and confirmation, and how they bless our family. We got talking about what she could say, and we kind of got her started and then she told us and reminded us of two experiences recently were the spirit helped her make some courageous choices. She shared in her talk about how some kids at school were talking about inappropriate things at the table and she asked them to stop talking about those things. Wow, our little 9yr standing up to what she knows is right and feels is right. The kids stopped talking about that. What courage! Way to go. The other example was when one day she came home from school in a grumpy mood and was not being nice to her siblings. Well, she recieved a time out, allowing her to get control of her thoughts. So Hailey did just that, she said she opened her scriptures and read some and then decided that she would write a note to everyone in the family asking them to forgive her for not being nice. We all found little notes on our beds when we were going to bed. This was a great example of her following the principles of repentance and following what the Holy Ghost told her to do. We are so proud of her!
Then tonight for family home evening, she and Abby decided to re-enact her two experiences in the form of a puppet show for the kids, and visiting cousins(Wyatt and Launi). They did a great job.
